Class Schedule!!!

A lot has happened since the last time I posted, and this was intentional (I wanted to wait until something I got something very special until I posted again). So, here's what's been going down.
I did super well last semester!! I got A's in most of my classes which I am super proud of considering they were hecka, hecka hard: 5 technical classes (and not just any technical classes either, they were high-level Physics and Math and E79) and a writing intensive HSA. Right now my GPA stands at 3.8 and I have essentially completed the Math-Physics major, so I am very happy with my current standing in school. This semester, the classes that I am taking are:
E72 (eng. math) - 1.5 credits
P116 - 3 credits (big quantum)
E80 - 3 credits (eng lab)
E4 - 4 credits (eng design & lab)
M157 - 1.5 credits (intermediate probability)
Clas-020 - 3 credits (very easy HSA)
P50 - 1 credit (Physics lab)
P54 - 1 credit (Another physics lab)
M199 - 1 credit (math colloquium)
Total: 19 credits (really 18 because M199 doesn't count)
Going into this semester, a lot of people told me that it would be too tough because the engineering classes are notoriously difficult (like E4, E80, and E72) and also because P50 is just the worst, but I've has a much nicer time this semester than I did last semester! To be fair, a large part of this is due to my phenomenal E80 team (more on that in the next blog post) and great friends I can rely on, but another big part of this is that the math-physics major prepared me really well for the engineering major, so I feel like I don't have to struggle as hard as others might since I've been exposed to a lot of this material before (e.g. scientific computing, fourier analysis, etc.). Another big reason is that a lot of the engineering classes are just a lot (how do I say this without being mean to engineers?) nicer than the math or physics classes. For example, take Statistical Mechanics or Abstract Algebra, which are the hardest classes from Physics & Math that I have taken so far, and then compare it to some of the engineering classes. For engineering classes, all of the equations are just given to you! Sure, you may have to do some crazy calculus or horrendous linear algebra at times, but that's as bad as it gets! On the other hand, take the physics or math classes. On the other hand, take stat mech or abstract. In those classes, you have no idea what the heck is going on! Sure, you may have some equations that were discussed in class, but you can't just plug and chug on the homework! You have to do some crazy stuff and hard thinking before you can even begin to use equations, and the calculus/algebra involved with those classes is much more complex than the engineering homework.
Anyway, that's enough of me talking about that - there's something much more important for me to talk about (and it's not my housing situation over winter break):
I GOT A SUMMER INTERNSHIP!!!!!!!
After applying to over 70 places (the internship grind is actually just ridiculous), I finally decided on one that I really, really, really, really, really love - Areté (full disclosure, I have no idea how to type the accented e, I just copy and paste it). However, I'm gonna start doing less super long posts and more short posts, so I'll go more into Areté (copy-pasted again, lol) on the next post.
