Areté!!!!

In case you didn't read the last post, I got hired by Areté, and boy am I excited. I chose Areté in large part because their employees apparently love working there! And that's a really good indication that a company is good! For example, here are their stats on Glassdoor:

As you can see, out of 56 reviews (which is a pretty decent amount), 96% or more really like working at the company, and it has a 4.6 out of 5 stars!! Now, in case you don't crawl through glassdoor like a catfish like I do, lemme tell you that these are really, really high ratings from employees. To show this, let's take some companies that people like working at! Costco, NASA, SpaceX, and Apple are some of the places where I would imagine people really like working at, and here are their glassdoor stats:

Now, of course I have to admit that Areté has a lot less company reviews and that this is probably skewing the data a bit, but their ratings are still crazy high, and 56 reviews is a pretty decent amount for the company to still have 4.6 stars.

Now, what does Areté actually do?! I'll just quote from their website: "Areté is an advanced science and engineering company that provides innovative solutions — from scientific discovery through production. Areté’s smart systems include active and passive sensors, real-time processing, software, and complex algorithms that operate from seafloor to space."

From what I understand, they do a lot of super cool science and engineering stuff (right up my alley) and do a bunch of cool aerospace stuff as well as aeronautical, land, and sea stuff. No matter what, it sounds like a lot of fun and hopefully a great first-step into a company after I graduate!!!
